Canadian producers Grandtheft have been carving a name for themselves in the electronic music game, boasting a style they hail as Canadian Club. In the past they have smashed remixes with Diplo and Major Lazer and turned up the twerk for their banger “Miley” which sampled Jay Z’s “Somewhereinamerica.” For their latest release titled “Flying” they teamed up with a fellow Canuck known as Smalltown DJs and it is every bit as awesome as I have come to expect. Dark synth wobbles are followed by empowering horn blasts. Like a call to action, “Flying” urges us to roll one up, burn one down, and dance ourselves clean in the club.
